Entry Fee: AWG Trials $10. RBC Riders Only, FREE

Note: To be eligible to be named to the AWG Selection Camp (Jan 28 & 29), you must participate in all aspects (both days) of these Trials. Read the full AWG Selection Criteria 2012.pdf here: http://snowboardyukon.com/policies/

All AWG Trials riders must have an Advanced Competitor’s License from Canada~Snowboard ($25) Purchase online here: www.canadasnowboard.ca/en/ms/membership/

Here is the registration form for the Trials: 2012_AWG_Trial_Registration_Form.doc. Print out, fill in and bring the from with you on Saturday to the Sima Clubhouse. Registration is 9:00-10:00 AM. Late arrivals can not be guaranteed a spot in the competition.

If you’re going to compete in the events but don’t want to tryout for the AWG Team you can also register the morning of the event in the Clubhouse.

Helmets are mandatory.

RBC Riders #1

Get pointers from certified coaches, try some practice runs and then race the clock in this entry level, one-at-a-time, snowboardcross race focused on FUN.
Recommended for younger riders, but any snowboarder is welcome to come give it a try!

Ages: 14 and under (or anyone young at heart)
When:January 8, 2010
Registration: 10:00 AM to Noon in the Clubhouse
Practice: 12:30 PM
Race 1:00 PM
Where: Mount Sima
Cost: FREE with your annual Basic Competitors License - $20 purchase online
Lift tickets not included.

Sandor’s Icebreaker Rail Jam
Hosted by Mt. Sima in support of Snowboard Yukon Athletes

Where: Mt Sima
Registration: 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM
Jam: 5:00 PM
Awards: 8:00 PM

Fees: (Mandatory membership) Advanced Competitor License - $25
purchase online or $30 at the door Rail Jam Entry fee, $20 and includes your Rope Tow Pass. All proceeds donated to Snowboard Yukon Competitive Athletes

Helmets are Mandatory

Schedule:
Registration starts at 3:30pm to 4:30pm
Practice Runs start at 5pm
16 and under Rail Jam runs at 5:30pm (males and females)
OPEN CATEGORY begins at 6:00pm (male and female)-all those who want to compete for the cash prize must join this category
Open Finals 6:45-7:15pm
Awards 8pm

There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for the 16 and under category.

There will be drinks, music, a fire pit outside, and raffle for a chance to win a brand new snowboard!!!

Cost: $5 cover charge
Proceeds donated to Snowboard Yukon Athletes

There will be a constant flow of snowboard and skii films, DJ music, door prizes, and the raffle of a brand new snowboard!!

3 days of skill dev and basic freestyle tips and tricks for girls only. There’s no better way to spend your Christmas break!

Become a snowboard official and get the good jobs at the Arctic Winter Games!

Get trained in the different officials roles required to run all forms of snowboard competitions. Learn what needs to happen to present a fair and secure event. Plus you get to play with a really big drill!
